DB Dramahawks present 'Anything Goes' musical this weekend

WHAT: “Anything Goes” by the DB Dramahawks. The longstanding classic American musical first was produced on Broadway in the 1930s and has had several revivals, including the 1987 version, on which the Dramahawks have based their production. Set on a cruise ship, the play focuses on romance and madcap comedy and features songs by Cole Porter. Proceeds from ticket sales will help fund the Dramahawks’ participation in upcoming tournaments. The production is dedicated to the memory of Haven Thrift and to her family.

WHEN: Friday, Feb. 1 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 2 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Feb. 3 at 2 p.m.

WHERE: The Nancy Pridemore Little Theatre at Dobyns-Bennett High School.

COST: Adults, $10; seniors, $7; students, $5.

WHO: The cast includes: Maddi Rimer; Abigail Combs; Sarah Stefan; Madeline Goguen; Molly Turner; Maria Simpson; Emily Steele; JT Roberts; Ethan Walker; Jacob Lamb; Ethan Harbin; Elaina Harbin; Rhi Hite; Grace Wellman; Steven Hathaway; Bryant Christian; Wylie Linz; Ethan Grindstaff; Bre Rill; Leanna Lewis; Lillian Ausband; Grace Nottingham; Riley Zarse; Raegan Johnson; Louisa Simpson; and Kyah Powers. Behind-the-scenes crew include: Paige Hubbard; Caleb Perry; Jacob Davis; Laura Humphrey; Caroline Harbin; Bryan Dean; Natalie Harbin; and Brandon Kirk, as well as some members of the cast. Musicians include: Sandra Kerney; Micheal Nickens; Byron Lawrence; Ty Wilcox; and Adrian Nunez. Patty Denmark is vocal coach. Choreography is by Jonathan Marin with Jackson Gorman. Assistant choreographers are Abigail Combs; Elaina Harbin; Madeline Goguen; Maddi Rimer; and Jacob Lamb. Wes Franklin is lighting/sound designer. Goguen is costume designer, with Combs as assistant.
