Dad was born in the family home in Farmington, Utah, on January 30, 1919. He is the second of nine children born to Mamie Coombs and William R. Perkins.

Dad enjoys many hobbies including hunting, fishing and gardening.

Throughout his life, dad excelled in every project. He personally built two beautiful cabins and their new home on Mutton Hollow Road, in Kaysville.

He was in the Navy in WWII, and served his country aboard the Navy Destroyer the USS Storm.

On May 25, 1940, he married our mother, Ruth Bone. Together they had four children, Margaret (lived six weeks), Gary, Lynn and Penny.

After retiring from Hill AFB, he became self employed. He built and installed cabinets and remodeled houses.

He has been active in the LDS faith. He worked in various positions, including Scouting. He served over 16 years in the LDS Temple.

Dad has requested that we do not have a formal BIRTHDAY party for him.

Dad resides at Pheasant View Assisted Living, 1242 East Pheasant View Drive, Layton, Utah, 84041
