FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH: MUSICAL GEMS - THE BEAUTY OF SIMPLICITY
Mastering compositional skills and understanding the mystery of music composition is a complex and often difficult journey. Ironically, the most impressive music is often that which sounds simple and beautiful. TPCP brings you a program of musical gems designed to illustrate this conundrum. Mark Owen Davis will present Beethoven's "An die ferne Geliebte", the song that forged the path for many composers afterward. In addition, Mark will share his vision of the importance of this song to future musical generations. Two gorgeous oboe sonatas by Saint-Saens and Poulenc presented to you by oboist, Larry Mueller and Zachary Millwood, bassoonist, will join us again.

Take a magical journey to another place in time and witness a story of love, battle, and mystery in Le Cadre (The Picture Frame). In the style of C. S. Lewis, this fantastical story will come to life on the LampLight Theatre stage. Exclusive to LampLight Theatre, Le Cadre is told through an incredible display of dance and movement. Dramatic lighting, music, and sound effects set the tone for this masterful performance. Come and experience this storybook fantasy. Le Cadre will be presented every weekend March 8th through 24th. Friday and Saturday nights at 7:00 PM. Saturday matinees at 2:00 PM. Sunday matinees at 3:00 PM. Admission is $12 for Adults. $7 for Students. FREE for children 5 and under. Seniors and groups get a discount. Doors will open one hour before the show.

Saturday, Angie Hyche of ShipShape Solutions is hosting "Spring Cleaning for Heart and Soul." She invites you to join her for food, fellowship, and crafts at this event at First Baptist Church. She will be speaking on "Clutter and Our Souls." How does clutter affect us spiritually? How can we break free from our clutter and live the way God intends for us?
