LAYTON - Penelope (Penni) Sue Nahley, R.N., beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 10, 2017.
She was born March 1, 1946, the daughter of Emil S. and Mildred Koehler Salen, in Chicago, Illinois.
Penni married Paul David Nahley, on August 19, 1968, in Tucson, Arizona.
Penni was a nurse by profession and cared deeply for people. She loved camping, going on long car rides, playing cards and crocheting.
Survived by her husband of 49 years, Paul (Dave) Nahley; six children: Michael Salen of Layton; Paula (Robin) Valenches of Layton; Cynthia (James) Wiley of Darrington, WA; Holly Bender of Roy; David Nahley of Layton; Christopher (Danielle) Nahley of North Carolina; two sisters, Jacqueline Kiersch of Arizona, Carolyn Kukral of Indiana; 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Delores Hill.
Graveside services will be held Monday, October 16, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Utah Veteran's Memorial Park, Bluffdale, Utah. Friends may visit family Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road.
