CHURCH HILL - Bobbye Jo Salley, 88, was reunited with her family and her Lord and Savior during the evening hours of Thursday (March 14, 2019) following an extended illness.

Bobbye was born on July 27, 1930 in Church Hill, TN to the late Joseph William & Sally Lou (Bailey) Boyd.

Bobbye was a hard worker that enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Church Hill, TN. Bobbye was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend; she will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, Bobbye was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Evans; and her second husband, Edgar Haskel Salley; two brothers, George Thomas “Pete” and Larry Wayne Boyd; and two sisters, Juanita Meece and Helen Shelton.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Tina Evans; brother, Garnie Boyd; sister, Johnnie Ireson & husband Bill; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday (March 18, 2019) from 11 am to 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church (202 E. Main Blvd. Church Hill, TN 37642). Funeral services will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Gary Gerhardt and Pastor Mitch Russell officiating. Special Music will be provided by Gary Stewart.

Bobbye will be laid to rest at Church Hill Memory Gardens on Monday (March 18, 2019) at 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to First Baptist Church ((202 E. Main Blvd. Church Hill, TN 37642).

The family would like to extend a special thank you to The Village at Allendale “Yesterdays Place’ and to Church Hill Healthcare and Rehab for all of the kind and compassionate care that was both given and shown to Bobbye in her time of need.
