William "Bill" Lee Morgan

KINGSPORT - William "Bill" Lee Morgan, 84, of Kingsport, TN departed his earthly home on Monday, April 15, 2019 at the Life Care Center of Gray, TN. 

He was born in Damascus, VA to the late Robert and Myrtle Morgan.  He lived most of his life in Wise, VA retiring to Kingsport to be closer to family.

Bill worked his entire working years for the Virginia Department of Transportation.  During his years there he made many good friends for life.  Especially his closest friend, Bill Jessee and son, David.

He enjoyed J.J. Kelly High School athletics and officiating football games.  He also enjoyed fishing and taking trips to Cherokee, NC to gamble and hit the slots.

Bill's greatest joy in his life was his family.  His wife of 58 years, Barbara Morgan; his son, Scott Morgan and wife, Michelle; his two granddaughters, Hannah and Rachel; his sister, Carolyn Rhudy and husband, Jack; and his brother, Don Morgan; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the graveside at Sunset Memorial Park in Damascus, VA with Pastor Greg Sergent officiating.
