Arthur Thomas (Bud) Moore, born on August 20, 1931 in Kingsport, Sullivan County, Tennessee, passed into glory on August 9, 2019.

He leaves behind three children, Gail Lane (Ned) of Grayson, Georgia, Arthur T. (Skip) Moore, Jr. (Dianna) of Snellville, Georgia, and Myra Fabian (Jeff) of Birmingham, Alabama; six beautiful grandchildren: Shelley (Justin) Vonlinsowe, Nick Moore, Cori (Cesar Cruz) Moore, Jake Fabian, Arin Fabian, and Robin Huie; three great-grandchildren, James and Josie Fabian and Arthur Cruz. Bud is also survived by his sisters, Melva Moore and Patsy Arnold; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Bud was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Jean (Birchfield) Moore; his parents, Arthur E. and Gertrude (Johnson) Moore; sisters, Ailene Perry, Donna Palmer, and Iris (Marie) Koone.

Growing up in Kingsport Tennessee as the only son with five sisters, Bud was known as a practical joker with a ready laugh and a love for fast cars. He moved his family to the Atlanta area in 1963 and settled in Decatur, Georgia. Retiring from Superior Printing in 1996, Bud and Jean moved the "Moore Home Base" to Snellville. Among the things he enjoyed in his retirement were friends made through his home short-wave radio set-up, frequent trips with family to casinos, the Atlanta Braves, and old westerns. In recent years, he lived at the Benton House in Grayson where he was known for his mad skills at Bingo and a life filled with the purpose of making others smile.
The family would like to thank the staff and administration at the Benton House of Grayson for their compassion, love, and care during the last few years. They would also like to thank the exceptional professionals at Gwinnett Medical Center and MeSun Health Services for the care and support shown to Bud and his family. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Tom M. Wages Funeral Services - Snellville Chapel with a Celebration of Life immediately following. Friends and family are encouraged to take a moment from their day to make someone laugh loudly in his name.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Seasoned with Love program of the Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative to assist with food needs of seniors in our community, www.segwinnettcoop.org/donate.
