The center will provide international travelers in the region a Customs and Border Protection-staffed center to process Global Entry enrollments. Currently, the only center in Tennessee is located in Nashville, more than four hours away.
A U.S. Customs and Border Protection Global Entry Enrollment Center will have its grand opening on Wednesday, May 22 at Tri-Cities Airport. The Global Entry Program provides expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk international travelers.
The service will work similar to the pre-check program run by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). When you come into the office, they will do a background check, finger printing and take your picture. The cost is around $100 and will also cover the TSA pre-check that is around $85. It will cover both domestic and international travel.
