KINGSPORT — Live music, improv comedy and a benefit to help animals are among the many activities going on this weekend in downtown Kingsport. Here are suggestions for your weekend from the Downtown Kingsport Association.

Thursday

Sweetheart Sip and Stroll

What: Grab your Valentine for a sweet night out or plan a girls’ night out in Kingsport’s unique downtown shops, boutiques, salons, breweries and restaurants.

Where: Throughout downtown Kingsport

When: 5-8 p.m.

Friday

High Voltage

What: La Abejita food truck will be on site for dinner service, while King’s Sport Axe House will be throwing axes.

Where: High Voltage, 101 Cherokee St., Suite 30

When: Gates open at 5 p.m.

Beef O’Brady’s: Live music from E.C. Frazier

What: Come out and hear some new tunes from E.C. Frazier.

Where: 300 Clinchfield St. Suite 180

When: 7 p.m.

Saturday

High Voltage Pop Up Special

What: America’s Empanada will be doing another Pop Up Special. Come out and sample their food and desserts and treat yourself to a craft beer or cider from the Fuse Box.

Where: High Voltage, 101 Cherokee St., Suite 30

When: Gates open at 3 p.m.

Red, Hot and Blues for Rescue

What: Dress up and dance all night to show your love for animals. The event features music, dancing, couples’ photos, hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, giveaways and romantic auction items. Proceeds benefit the Sullivan County Animal Shelter and Neonatal Kitten Rescue.

When: 6:30 p.m.

Lamplight Theatre: A Night of Improv Comedy

What: A night of food, fun and improv comedy based on “Whose Line is it Anyway?”
