BRISTOL — King University alumni are invited to gather together at the Homeland Creamery in Julian, N.C., (near Greensboro) Saturday, Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Alumni and friends will meet at Homeland Creamery, l6506 Bowman Dairy Road in Julian, N.C., for a farm and creamery tour, outdoor games and ice cream.

Homeland Creamery is family owned and operated by the Bowmans, sixth and seventh generation farmers who have been raising Holstein cows on the same homestead for the last four generations. The sustainable farm began with a half-dozen dairy cows and has grown to more than 200 Holstein and Jersey cows.

The Bowman family is quoted as saying, “Our Christian faith, loving family, and support from the community have kept us strong. We hope to pass the farm to the next generation and then the next.”

“I look forward seeing alumni, friends, and family join us at Homeland Creamery. There is no better way to spend a fall afternoon, than being outside and eating ice cream! Join us for a tour of the creamery, ice cream, and fun and games,” said Michael Webb, director of alumni services at King University.

Cost for the event is $5 per person with children age three and under free. RSVP by Wednesday, Oct. 7 to Dawn McMurray at (800) 621-5464 or [email protected] Contact Michael Webb for additional information at [email protected] or (423) 652-6399.
