KINGSPORT - Downtown Kingsport will be full of activity this weekend. Here is the schedule of events courtesy of the Downtown Kingsport Association.

Today

LAMPLIGHT THEATRE:

A MIDWINTER'S CAROL

Step back in time to Victorian England and celebrate Christmas at LampLight Theatre. A Midwinter's Carol is a Christmas musical presented in traditional Victorian fashion. It is Alfie's faith in God and his love for an outcast that reveals secrets and heals hearts that will change the Barkley home forever. This enchanted story promises to inspire you and will become one of your Christmas favorites.

140 Broad Street -7 p.m., also Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.

MODEL CITY TAP HOUSE:

CURBSIDE ORCHESTRA

Enjoy the best craft beer selection in the Tri-Cities, steamed sandwiches, and live music from local talented musicians. Curbside Orchestra is a five-person band made up of all familiar faces, who just love to get together and make music. Drop in to hear their take on Americana Tunes while enjoying the great tap selection.

SLEEPY OWL BREWERY:

SONGWRITERS OPEN MIC NIGHT

Quentin Horton, Recording Engineer and Producer at Steele Creek Studios will be hosting the Open Mic Night at the Owl. If you're a songwriter, come sign up at 6. If not, The music will start at 8. This event is free to the public, and all ages are welcome!

STATE THEATRE COMPANY:

STATE OF AFFAIRS

Happy holidays! Come enjoy this festive State of Affairs with the family for music, art, the reading of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and other holiday storytelling. Word on the street is, Santa himself will even be there! Make your way to Hibbert-Davis Urban Brews early to grab a bite and a brew before the show starts!

KARAOKE NIGHT

Come out to Macado's for a fun karaoke experience! In conjunction with Absolute Entertainment, they're setting up a karaoke bar and they need you to come rock the house! Grab a bite, grab a brew, and get on the rotation to sing your heart out!

KINGSPORT BALLET:

THE NUTCRACKER

This production of The Nutcracker is one of three productions Kingsport Ballet stages every year and it's sure to get you in the Christmas Spirit. With Guest Performers from all around the world adding to an already talented company, this is a show you don't want to miss!

KINGSPORT THEATRE GUILD:

BELIEVE! & FOLLOW THE STAR

Kingsport Theatre Guild is excited to combine two one-act shows into one night of Christmas cheer which address the current commercialism of Christmas, yet also tells the traditional Christmas story, complete with nativity scene and familiar carols. The audience will have the opportunity to join in and sing along to familiar favorites such as: Jingle Bells, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, O Little Town of Bethlehem, The First Noel and more!

CIRCUS NO. 9

Come enjoy a brand new band on the scene, Circus No. 9. They include Colin Hotz, Michael Testagrossa, Thomas Cassell, and Matthew Davis, and play Bluegrass and Americana Tunes for all to enjoy. Catch them tonight, before they take the East Coast by Storm.

LAMPLIGHT THEATRE:

A GOSPEL CHRISTMAS

One night only! This performance is done in true "Gaither Homecoming" sing-a-long fashion with old and new Christmas gospel favorites, southern gospel and shape note singing. Suggested donation for evening performance is $10 Adults, $5 Students, and FREE for children under 6.

SLEEPY OWL BREWERY:

THE LOW COUNTS W/ FORCEFIELD

You're in for a great night full of an array of music. The Low Counts are a Rock duo comprised of singer-songwriter-guitarist Matt Walsh and Austin Hicks on drums. Followed by local hip hop duo Force Field.

Foodie Fiction will be on stanby to provide with you some delicious eats!
