KINGSPORT — Here are the activities going on in downtown Kingsport this weekend, according to the Downtown Kingsport Association.

Today

HIGH VOLTAGE:

STATE OF AFFAIRS

State of Affairs is back with a wide variety of talents for your enjoyment. This variety show features an array of different talented individuals anywhere from bellydancing, to spoken word, classical music shared through piano to fire twirling. And the best part? It's all local talent! Don't miss this night that's sure to please!

CAMERON TATE

Cameron Tate plays an eclectic mix of covers from every decade dating back to the 1950s! As a singer/songwriter he incorporates a genuine, honest, and passionate approach that aims to connect with his audience at a personal level. Whether the occasion is for your wedding, corporate function, gala event, or party, Cameron Tate will be sure to provide an atmosphere to match any event of your need.

SLEEPY OWL BREWERY:

DINNER AND A MOVIE - PULP FICTION

Presenting the next installment of our new dinner and a movie series: Pulp Fiction!

This is a free and 18+ showing, inside our taproom, through an HD projector, and pumped through our PA for the best experience possible. Bring friends, grab a seat, dinner, brews, and an awesome flick.

KARAOKE NIGHT

Come out to Macado's for a fun karaoke experience! In conjunction with Absolute Entertainment, they're setting up a karaoke bar and they need you to come rock the house! THINGS MY MOTHER TAUGHT ME

Olivia and Gabe are moving into their first apartment together. They've just packed up all of their belongings and driven halfway across the country, to start a new life together in Chicago. Their moving day doesn't go exactly as planned, though, and things become slightly more complicated when all of their parents show up to help! Can a two bedroom apartment contain all of the love, laughs, worry and wisdom that's about to happen?

LAMPLIGHT THEATRE:

FOGGY WENT A COURTIN’

Our favorite comedy troupe is back once more in the hilarious production of "Foggy Went a Courtin.' Goodin Family and friends have found themselves a part of the lonely hearts club in search of true love and romance. Since newlyweds, Clovis and Ura, have celebrated their blissful first year anniversary, they take it upon themselves to help all the singles of the Foggy Valley Gang find their true love.

MATT WALSH

Matt Walsh, up and coming artist, is becoming a fixture at Tri-Cities Music Joints all around. Sleepy Owl Brewery will be featuring this native of Statesville, Ky., and enjoying a night filled with his original Americana Tunes.

ROYCE GOLD FEST

1st annual Royce Gold Fest is an event to tie the community together through music and positive vibes. With guest appearances from hip hop artists Real Dynamite coming from Raleigh, N.C. and Mariyo Deon coming from Nashville by way of Knoxville.The stage is also being blessed with Kingsport's own The True Forcefield with Johnson City's Lul Lion, Shortstop & Tyrique Shahmir. Sounds by DJ N5ive from Nashville, by way of London, England.
