Friday, August 11

Bountiful Music in the Park — A special tribute to John Denver. Join Roy Rivers and legendary Utah players Craig Miner and Ryan Tilby for a memorable experience. 7 to 9 p.m., Bountiful City Park, 400 N. 200 West, Bountiful. FREE.

The Wayne Hoskins Band — An American band from Salt Lake City described as edgy, driven and elegant made up of five talented musicians, each bringing different creative elements.  9 p.m. to 1 a.m., Funk ‘n Dive, 2550 Washington Blvd., Ogden.

Saturday, August 12

The Stray Cat Lee Rocker —  Lee Rocker and the Stray Cats sold more than 10 million records. Lee is known for making his upright double bass appear as if it were a lightweight instrument as he spins, throws it in the air, catches and plays it on stages throughout the world. His concert show is a time for him to tell stories about his days in the music business for the last 35 years – including stories about his adventures lugging the giant piece of equipment around. 8-10 p.m., Kenley Amphitheater, 445 N. Shades of Grey —  Local group playing an exciting mix of rock, bluegrass, country and folk. Bring your chairs, blankets and kids, and enjoy your Saturday night. Nordic Grill is open for dinner. 6 to 9 p.m., Nordic Valley, 3567 Nordic Valley Way, Eden. FREE

From the Sun — With a unique blend of blues, progressive rock and roots reggae, From the Sun delivers an incredibly high energy show every time they come out. All four members are incredibly talented and have found a way to bring that conversation from the stage to you, the audience. La La Land: The Return of the Movie Musical —  You probably love the catchy music of La La Land as much as any! Celebrate songs from the film at this Davis Arts Council event. You’ll also hear selections from other modern musicals, like favorites from Baz Luhrmann films, the new Beauty and the Beast, and Moana. 7 to 8 p.m., Kenley Amphitheater, 445 N.
