ROGERSVILLE — The Voice of Hope Ministry’s Rogersville tent revival honored Hawkins County police, fire and rescue personnel during Wednesday’s service in recognition of the 18th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

Several agencies were represented at the event, and worshipers had an opportunity prior to the service to meet first responders and look at their equipment.

A few lucky youngsters got an opportunity to sit in the Wings Air Rescue helicopter before it was called away shortly after its arrival to respond to a serious accident in Greene County.

Among the other agencies represented at the event were the Hawkins County Rescue Squad, Hawkins County EMS, the Rogersville and Bulls Gap fire departments, the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office and the Rogersville Police Department.
