The HCRS will use funds raised from this event for things like training; equipment and tools; communications gear; and personal protection equipment for members, just to name a few.
In 2018, the event was retitled to honor former Bass Tournament Chairman Sgt. Ralph Stanton, who passed away that year.
Stanton volunteered and dedicated several hundred hours a year to help make the event possible.
Stanton dedicated his life to helping others and is a perfect example of a public safety volunteer.
The hours of the tournament are from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The flights will be determined by pre-registration location at the 6 a.m. meeting on the tournament day. You may register the day of the tournament on-site, but on-site registration will be the last flight out.
The entrance fee is $50 per boat with a two-person maximum per boat.
Cash prizes will be awarded to those who finish in first through fourth place. The Lunker Award will also be presented.
These cash prizes include: first place, $1,000; second place, $800; third place, $400; fourth place, $200; and Lunker, $100.
