Inaugural Senior Ladies League begins in April

The Senior Ladies Golf League for the Tri-Cities area and beyond released its schedule for its inaugural season.

To date, there are 30 members from Tennessee, Virginia and North Carolina. The league is open to all women ages 55 and older who wish to play.

The first tournament is scheduled for Monday, April 13 at The Crossings in Fall Branch. A total of 27 tournaments are scheduled from mid-April through October at14 courses in Tennessee and Virginia.

Competition is carried out in flights in which players of different skill levels compete on a handicap basis. Flight prizes are low net and low putts with non-handicap prizes for low gross and closest to the pin on par 3s. Cash prizes will be awarded during every tournament as well as special winnings for making a hole-in-one.
