KINGSPORT — Nearly $4,000 in tools, including nail guns, drills and an air compressor, were stolen last week along with a utility trailer that was parked at a construction site off Fort Henry Drive.

The Kingsport Police Department is asking residents for tips in tracking down the stolen items and any suspects in the theft.

According to a press release from KPD, officers responded to the construction site of the Blake Assisted Living Center (3308 Fort Henry Drive) on April 8 and were told that sometime within the previous day a white Homesteader utility trailer was stolen from the site.

Though the trailer was valued at $1,300, at the time it was stolen it housed nearly $4,000 in tools, including:

- Four Hitachi nail guns

- A Milwaukee nail gun

- A Hitachi drill and air compressor

The theft took place between 1:30 p.m. on April 7 and 7:30 a.m. on April 8, police said.

At the time it was stolen, the trailer displayed Oklahoma license plate number 8P3938. The Homesteader logo was also prominently displayed on the rear of the trailer.

Anyone with information about the theft or the stolen property is asked to contact the KPD Criminal Investigations Division at (423) 229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at (423) 246-9111.
