The Kingsport Police Department reported that Pratt was found safe and sound by law enforcement authorities in Hamblen County. He is currently in the care of the Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office and is in the process of being reunited with his family.

KINGSPORT — The Kingsport Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating an elderly man who is dependent upon medications and has been diagnosed with dementia.
On Wednesday evening, J.R. Pratt, 90, Kingsport, was reported as a missing person to the KPD by his daughter. He was last seen shortly after 4 p.m. driving a 1995 light blue Buick Regal four-door sedan with a silver luggage rack. The vehicle should display Tennessee license plate 571FYY. He was leaving Fairway Ford, allegedly on his way to Courtesy Chevrolet. Courtesy employees advised that he never arrived.
Pratt is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. He has brown hair fading to gray with a receding hairline. He has brown eyes and wears glasses. He was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt, blue jeans, a black jacket, a black hat and black athletic shoes.
The KPD considers Pratt endangered due to his medical conditions.
