ROGERSVILLE — The Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man from the Mooresburg community who allegedly pointed a gun at a woman last week while passing by on a motorcycle.

An arrest warrant was issued by HCSO Deputy Adam Bledsoe on May 16 for Jason Cheyenne Collins, 33, 288 Clover Circle, Mooresburg.

The victim reportedly told Bledsoe she was pulling out of her driveway on Calvary Church Road when a man known to her as Jason Collins pointed a black pistol at her as he rode by on a small, partly black motorcycle with “big tires.”

“I also observed a video from her home security cameras in which I saw what appeared to be a male on a motorcycle pointing a black object in the direction of a white car,” Bledsoe said. “(The victim) stated she initially thought it was a kid playing a joke and had followed the motorcycle to the area of Mountain View Road, where the male got off the motorcycle and ‘came screaming toward her.’ (The victim) stated she became in fear for her life when she realized the male’s identity.”

The woman then left the scene and called police.

The HCSO attempted to locate Collins at locations on Moreland Court and Spring Road but was unsuccessful.

A motorcycle matching the description of the one Collins was riding was located at a residence on Moreland Court.

No one at that residence claimed ownership of the motorcycle, which was towed to the HCSO impound lot, and based on the video and the victim’s statement, a warrant for aggravated assault was issued for Collins.

As of Thursday evening, Collins remained at large. Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to contact the HCSO at (423) 272-4848 or Hawkins County Central Dispatch at (423) 272-7121.
