David Leon Haggerty passed away August 2, 2017. He was born June 17, 1939, to Charles and Beth Haggerty, in Provo, Utah. He graduated from Danville High School in Illinois. He was sealed to Virginia Keller in the Salt Lake Temple on June 1, 1962.

David served as a private in the United States Army. After fulfilling his military duties, he served an LDS mission in London, England. He graduated from BYU and earned a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Utah. He spent his career in Ogden as a marriage and family therapist.

David stayed busy with various church callings, loved working on cars, and had a little-known talent as a sketch artist. Above all, he served his family and his faith.

David is survived by his wife, Virginia; children: Camille Prescott, Dennis (Malinda), Michael (Michelle), Sheri (David Nutting), James (Lynnette), and Jennifer (Hal) Higgs; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services provided by Leavitt's Mortuary, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at the LDS church house at 720 Nancy Dr., South Ogden, Utah, with a viewing from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
