W.T. “Dub” Collins

BLOUNTVILLE - W.T. “Dub” Collins, age 93, of Blountville, TN went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 12, 2019, at Holston Valley Medical Center. 

He was born July 8, 1925, a native of Blountville, and was the son of the late Fuller Hale and Catherine Malone Collins. Dub retired from Raytheon. He was a member of Oakdale Freewill Baptist Church where he once served as a Deacon. He was a member of Whiteside Masonic Lodge #13, a member of the Jericho Temple, and 32nd degree Scottish Rite.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Lillie Leona Jenkins Collins; four brothers; two sisters; and a great grandson, Preston Sisk.

He is survived by his daughters, Carolyn Atwell and Agnes Gastonguay; son, Tommy Collins and fiancée Pam Almany; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

A masonic service will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with services conducted by the Whiteside Masonic Lodge #13.  The funeral service will follow with Rev. Ronnie Stevens and Rev. Ed Moser officiating. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. The burial will be held at 11:00 am Thursday in East Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thanks to caregivers, Sue Johnson, Tracy Stoots, Shannon Greene and Vickie Rabon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Rd. Greenville, SC 29605.
