Kingsport Theatre Guild to stage “Scrooge: The Musical”

KINGSPORT — One of the most beloved stories of the holiday season is coming to the Kingsport Theatre Guild main stage.

What: The KTG is gearing up for “Scrooge: The Musical,” a timeless musical that follows the plot of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” In the story, the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge undergoes a profound experience of redemption over the course of a Christmas Eve night, after being visited by the ghost of his former partner, Jacob Marley, and the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future.

When and where: Performances will take place Dec. 13, 14, 20 and 21 at 7 p.m., and Dec. 14, 15, 21 and 22 at 2 p.m. All performances will be held at the Renaissance Center theatre. A school show will also be held Dec. 13 at 10 a.m.

Tickets: Adult tickets are $15, while children ages 12 and under are $10. Military members, students, and seniors ages 55 and over are $12. Children under 3 will be admitted free.
