South Central Kingsport to hold employment workshop

KINGSPORT — If you’re looking for a new job, South Central Kingsport Community Development wants to help.

The organization will hold a career exploration and employment event Thursday, Jan. 30, at 6 p.m. at the Regional Center for Advanced Manufacturing (RCAM), located at 305 W. Main St. in downtown Kingsport.

Who will be there?

The following employers and service providers will be represented: Brock, Partner Industrial, Northeast State Career Services, American Job Center, AccuForce, Domtar and Eastman.

Industry representatives will provide employment information and answer questions about their company’s hiring process. Northeast State Career Services staff will assist with resumes and provide general career exploration guidance.

Who should attend?

The event is designed for those who are unemployed or underemployed, recent high school and college graduates and anyone reentering the workforce or wanting to make a career change.

Attendees at previous employment events have received interviews and made meaningful contacts with company representatives.

These sessions are offered in partnership with Eastman and RCAM.
