Colonial Heights math teacher wins $25,000 teaching prize on second try
Colonial Heights Middle School seventh grade math teacher Stephanie Miller has won the $25,000 McGlothlin Award for Teaching Excellence on her second try. Her first, in 2015, got her a consolation prize of $1,000. She and her husband, Andru, are headed to Switzerland this summer, an experience she hopes to bring back to the classroom in the fall as well as have students follow on Instagram while she is there.
